Her STORY
Growing up, I struggled with anxiety, particularly in social situations. I vividly remember feeling overwhelmed with worry whenever I had to speak in front of a group or even engage in casual conversations with classmates. It felt like a constant battle between wanting to connect with others and fearing judgment or rejection.
One experience that stands out to me is when I was in high school and had to give a presentation in front of my class. As the day approached, my anxiety spiked, and I found myself obsessing over every detail of the presentation. When the moment arrived, I was so nervous that my hands were shaking, and my voice trembled as I spoke. I stumbled over my words and felt like I was making a fool of myself in front of everyone. Afterward, I was flooded with a mix of relief that it was over and intense self-criticism for not doing better.
It took me a while to realize that my anxiety wasn't just a temporary nervousness but a pattern that affected many aspects of my life.Through therapy and support from loved ones, I've learned coping strategies to manage my anxiety better. While it's still something I deal with, I've become more confident in my ability to face challenging situations and have developed a deeper understanding of the importance of self-care and seeking help when needed creating a passion to help others work through similar issues.
This experience has taught me the value of empathy and understanding towards others who may be struggling with their mental health. It's a reminder that we never truly know what someone else is going through and that kindness and compassion can make a world of difference in someone's journey towards healing and recovery.
